• Training of young horses
A badly started riding horse is often a wasted horse!
With extensive experience in the breaking of colts or untrained adult horses, Charles Lenoir uses gentle teaching methods, based on a thorough knowledge of animal ethology, to bring the horse to enjoy the company of humans and for him to accept their orders.
The working sessions, tailored to the age of the horse, are varied: work in arena or outdoors, on the lunge, long rein or saddle, trail riding or learning exercises. Everything is done to maintain the attention of the horse, avoid boredom and boost its capabilities.
In general, one to two months of work is enough for the young horse to learn basic commands and allow the owner to continue learning.
Owners have the opportunity to attend sessions, depending on availability. Before the return of their horses, they can come to the Ranch des Cèdres, under the supervision of Charles Lenoir, to ascertain their progress and ask any questions they wish.
The dressage and training of horses
- Give experience, outside, to a horse already trained but inexperienced or fearful
- Correct a problem of attitude or behavior
- Improve its training for Western competitions, or just for the pleasure of having a perfectly trained horse, handy and easy.
These are some of the reasons why our clients bring their horses. Again, according to the demands and capabilities of the horse, the sessions will be tailored to each of them.
Very quickly, Charles Lenoir will assess your horse and tell you whether it can meet your expectations. If a horse is "dangerous" (fortunately a very rare case!), Charles reserves the right to refuse you and will warn you and explain the reasons.
